Executive and Leadership Coaching
Coaching for Leaders Who Are Ready for What's Next
Who It's For
You lead people, and you'd like more from your leadership than you've gotten so far.
Sometimes that shows up as wanting a bigger impact on your team and your organization, growing into what's next, or realizing you've outgrown where you are. Sometimes it's good intentions not landing the way you meant them to. Sometimes it's just needing help getting through a hard season. All of those are good reasons to start.
Whether you've had leadership training or figured most of it out on your own, coaching begins in the same place: understanding yourself, and understanding the people you lead.
How It Works
We begin with the CliftonStrengths assessment, which names the patterns of thinking, feeling and behaving that come naturally to you. Most people go their whole careers without knowing what their strengths are, let alone how to use them on purpose. The assessment gives us shared language to work from.
From there, we meet virtually for 60 minutes once a month. Your first six sessions are the foundation, enough time to practice, reflect and see real movement. There's no set curriculum. Each session is built around what you're facing right now.
After every session you'll get a written summary of what you discovered, the strengths behind it, the commitments you made, and questions to carry into the month ahead. After the first six, we continue month to month for as long as it's helping you.

Employer Sponsored Coaching
Many leaders are coached with their organization's financial support, because developing the people who lead their teams is worth the investment. If your company is covering the cost, email me and I'll send an invoice instead.

A Message From Karin

For a long time I thought I was a good leader because every i was dotted and every t was crossed. Then my team's engagement survey came back in the 21st percentile. It was a lot of red, and it showed me nobody had ever taught me what my people actually needed. While I was working to learn what I didn't know about being a strong people leader, I was fortunate enough to sit down with a Gallup coach to talk through my CliftonStrengths results, which until then had just been some interesting words and colors on a page.
That conversation changed how I led, because I started using my strengths on purpose instead of by accident. Over the next four years, that same team climbed to the 96th percentile. It wasn't magic. It was a combination of learning to lead from what came most naturally to me, and learning to give my team what they actually needed.
Now I get to help other leaders take the next step in their own leadership journey, whether that's learning what their people need from them, or discovering what's best about themselves so they can use it to reach their goals.
What makes coaching with me different is that we work on both halves: what you're built for, and what the people you lead actually need from you. Most leadership development picks one. And we use a practice I call Notice It, Name It, Spark It, so when the pressure is on you have something simple to come back to, long after our sessions have wrapped up.
I'm a Gallup-Certified CliftonStrengths Coach and a graduate of Gallup's Creating an Engaging Workplace for Engagement Champions course. I'm also certified in Daniel Goleman's and Six Seconds' emotional intelligence models and hold a Master's in Educational Leadership.
