## Coaching for Leaders Who Are Ready for What's Next

### Who It's For

You lead people, and you'd like more from your leadership than you've gotten so far.

Sometimes that shows up as wanting a bigger impact on your team and your organization, growing into what's next, or realizing you've outgrown where you are. Sometimes it's good intentions not landing the way you meant them to. Sometimes it's just needing help getting through a hard season. All of those are good reasons to start.

Whether you've had leadership training or figured most of it out on your own, coaching begins in the same place: understanding yourself, and understanding the people you lead.

### How It Works

We begin with the CliftonStrengths assessment, which names the patterns of thinking, feeling and behaving that come naturally to you. Most people go their whole careers without knowing what their strengths are, let alone how to use them on purpose. The assessment gives us shared language to work from.

From there, we meet virtually for 60 minutes once a month. Your first six sessions are the foundation, enough time to practice, reflect and see real movement. There's no set curriculum. Each session is built around what you're facing right now.

After every session you'll get a written summary of what you discovered, the strengths behind it, the commitments you made, and questions to carry into the month ahead. After the first six, we continue month to month for as long as it's helping you.

## What People Are Saying

"One of the most valuable takeaways from my personal coaching sessions with Karin was the opportunity to identify my key strengths and become more aware of my areas for improvement. This self-awareness has been instrumental in shaping my leadership approach and has allowed me to leverage my talents more effectively."

-Sean, CTO

"Karin came in exceptionally prepared and created an environment that was engaging, thoughtful, and genuinely energizing."

-Dr. Krysti Wick, Founder & CEO

### Employer Sponsored Coaching

Many leaders are coached with their organization's financial support, because developing the people who lead their teams is worth the investment. If your company is covering the cost, email me at the address below and I'll send an invoice instead.

## What It's Like to Work With Me

![MakenaLeePhotography-4776](https://sparkengagement.com/hs-fs/hubfs/Spark%20Photos%20Web%20Edits/MakenaLeePhotography-4776.jpg?width=1333&height=2000&name=MakenaLeePhotography-4776.jpg "MakenaLeePhotography-4776")

For a long time I thought I was a good leader because every i was dotted and every t was crossed. Then my team's engagement survey came back in the 21st percentile. It was a lot of red, and it showed me nobody had ever taught me what my people actually needed. While I was working to learn what I didn't know about being a strong people leader, I was fortunate enough to sit down with a Gallup coach to talk through my CliftonStrengths results, which until then had just been some interesting words and colors on a page.

That conversation changed how I led, because I started using my strengths on purpose instead of by accident. Over the next four years, that same team climbed to the 96th percentile. It wasn't magic. It was a combination of learning to lead from what came most naturally to me, and learning to give my team what they actually needed.

I've had my own hard seasons, at work and outside of it. What every one of them taught me is the same thing: it all gets easier when you know yourself, know what you value, and line your actions up with both. That's the thread running through everything I do.

It also means you can bring all aspects of your experience to our sessions: the good parts of your work, the challenges, the successes and failures. There isn't much that will surprise me, and I'm not here to judge any of it. All of it shapes how you lead, so all of it is welcome in the room. What I want is for you to be at your best, so you can support the people around you and reach whatever your next goal turns out to be.

What makes coaching with me different is that we work on both halves: how to lead from what you do best, and what the people you lead need to be engaged. Most leadership development picks one. And we use a practice I call Notice It, Name It, Spark It, so when the pressure is on you have something simple to come back to, long after our sessions have wrapped up.

I'm a Gallup-Certified CliftonStrengths Coach and a graduate of Gallup's Creating an Engaging Workplace for Engagement Champions course. I'm also certified in Daniel Goleman's and Six Seconds' emotional intelligence models and hold a Master's in Educational Leadership.
