A Message From the Founder and Chief Spark Starter
Welcome to Spark Engagement!
I believe everyone deserves a job they love – and a job that loves them back. When people are connected to their purpose and able to use their strengths, work becomes energizing and meaningful. I’ve seen the powerful ripple effect that happens when individuals feel engaged, supported, and aligned with the impact they want to make—that spark returns, and everything changes. And the best part? The benefits don’t stop at the end of the workday. Thriving at work leads to thriving in life—at home, in relationships, and in overall wellbeing.
Throughout my career in education—as a teacher, administrator, and leader—I experienced the full spectrum of emotions the job brings: the joy of student breakthroughs, the stress of complex decisions, the long hours, and the deep sense of purpose that makes it all worth it. But it wasn’t until I was fully immersed in another meaningful role—parenting—that I hit a breaking point. The constant pressure to do it all and be everything for everyone led to burnout. Around that same time, I received a serious health diagnosis that forced me to slow down and reevaluate how I was living, working, and leading.
Once I regained my health and returned to work, I gained the tools and support I needed to recognize and use my strengths—not only to better myself, but also to show up more intentionally for those around me. That season of personal reflection reshaped how I viewed my work and my worth. Learning to understand and live in my strengths became a turning point—it gave me the clarity, confidence, and direction I needed to lead with authenticity and purpose. The healing that followed wasn’t just physical—it reached into how I showed up emotionally, professionally, and personally. I left behind unhealthy coping mechanisms and reconnected with my passion: helping others rediscover what’s right with them, so they can show up with confidence, energy, and joy in all parts of their lives.
Now, as a Gallup-certified CliftonStrengths coach and engagement champion, I use my own spark to ignite the spark in others. I created a business to help individuals, teams, and organizations tap into their strengths, build meaningful engagement, and prioritize wellbeing—so people don’t just succeed at work, they thrive in life.
My spark brought me here. Where will your spark take you?
